I make unique cabochons in many styles and stones. Check the categories at upper left for what interests you. I have now done over 1000 cabochons. The descriptions are honest about flaws a cab may have, and reflect it in pricing. If a cab is cruddy, it will not be here at all.
MOVIES: A still image does not do justice to some cabochons, with chatoyance or other effects. So special cabs will have movies to show their features. There are only 4 now, maybe I can get to some older cabs also. As new cabs come along with interesting effects, they will get movies. These are not the greatest movies in the world, shot in my kitchen, by an unskilled person (me).
NOTICE: PayPal Customers - Twice now customers paid with PayPal, without an order registering. I got the money without knowing what they wanted. So the PayPal option for payment is removed. It would take a huge amount of time to mess with the code or set up a different cart.
*** To use PayPal: order as though you will pay by check or money order. There is a place to add a message - put "PayPal" in the message, and I will send you a PayPal invoice. OR, you could go to PayPal and pay the order total, probably the fastest approach. You would pay it to: jsteel@mac.com
This way the cart system will hold your cabs for you, and I will be notified immediately.

Do an Advanced Search for the word "bargain" to find cabs that are priced lower. This often is a matter of personal taste, and you may find something that will work for you. You may also do an Advanced Search by color, which I try to put in descriptions.
Identifying stones is difficult, and subject to error. Mostly they will be identified as they were sold to me, but sometimes that is incorrect. Some stones I simply do not know, but found attractive or interesting in their own right. If you spot an error, or know one of my unknowns, please email me. I would be grateful for correct information.
Measurements are in millimeters. Most cabs are between 5 and 7 millimeters thick. Please refer to the photo, because measuring curved or odd shapes is imprecise. |
