About Site Photos
First, the photos in the catalog are all the same size, but obviously the cabochons are NOT. So look at the photos for proportions, but remember to look at the measurements too. Second, the images are greatly magnified, much larger than even the largest cabochon. You will see every flaw, including many that are not visible to the naked eye. I don't see well enough to take good pictures, so what you see are scans. I don't do a lot of image manipulation. Images are adjusted so the colors look real. I do go over them for dust. Sometimes it's hard to tell dust from a mark on the rock, but the images show the rock as close as possible to it's actual appearance. Keep in mind that differences in monitors and so forth may cause image colors to look different on your computer than they do on mine. If you want a bigger picture, email me. I have very big pictures of them, and will be happy to send you a bigger image. More experienced people say that cabochon buyers want to see big pictures. Since there are so many cabs in the catalog, this is going to take some time. The bigger images will go into the catalog as I have time to format them and post them. They also say that buyers like more pictures from different angles. This is harder, since I have trouble focusing a camera. I'm trying to come up with a setup to overcome the focus problem and provide different angle shots. If you have questions about a cab or an image, contact me. |
